Rezum therapy is a treatment offered to men who are experiencing quality of life issues due to an enlarged prostate.
How it Works
We offer this in the office with mild IV sedation. During the procedure you will have steam vapor shot into the prostate that will cause this tissue to flake off with time and permanently open the prostate channel. This allows for a stronger, more productive urine stream and reduces the number of urinations per day. When you wake up, you will have a catheter tube (Foley) draining your bladder into a bag for a few days to allow for healing. You will be able to return your normal activities as soon as the catheter is removed. We offer this therapy at the Green Bay location.
