Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH)
Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) is enlargement of the prostate gland. The prostate gland is located just below the bladder, and the urine channel (urethra) flows through it. With age, the gland size will enlarge, which can squeeze the urethra and cause concerns such as getting up at night to urinate, a weak urinary stream, and needing to urinate often.
There are several available treatment options and are covered by insurance and that can be tailored to meet a patient’s needs.
