Advanced Prostate Cancer
Prostate cancer is one of the most common types of cancer. Many prostate cancers grow slowly and are confined to the prostate gland, where they may not cause serious harm. Other types are aggressive and can spread quickly. When you are diagnosed with prostate cancer, the word “cancer” is scary. Even scarier is hearing that your cancer has returned after treatment or that you’ve been diagnosed with initial metastatic disease.
We help men decide if they should be screened for prostate cancer. If cancer is found, we use shared decision making to determine how the cancer can best be managed. We utilize the most up to date technology including MRI for screening, UroNav (MRI-Fusion), targeted biopsy, genetic testing, and genomic testing, while collaborating with pathologists and radiation oncologists.
There are several available treatment options, aside from chemotherapy, to help you through your process, and we offer them right here in-office.
